Another involuted ornament

“Another involuted ornament”. This ornament was turned entirely on a lathe from a single piece of wood. This complex technique is often called negative space or involuted or inside-out turning. Here, the inside you see now was first turned to shape, the entire piece split down the middle, flipped around and turned again. The end product is an ornament in both positive and negative space.
