Meet our September/ October guest artist!!

"I will never forget the day I got my first amethyst crystal necklace. I was seven years old and it was the most enchanting object I'd ever seen! A couple years later, I found my very first quartz crystal while gem sluicing for a class field trip, and it filled me with the same fascination. Ever since then I've had an obsession with raw gems and minerals, so it only seems natural that I work with them today!

Oddly enough, my love of making jewelry was not born from my love of rocks. I have always loved to work with my hands, and dabbled in everything creative. When my grandma gave me my first jewelry making kit for my 12th birthday, a seed was planted. A few years later, in high school, I did macrame in class and made jewelry at my best friend's house on the weekends. We would go to art fairs together and go straight for the jewelry booths!

Everything I create is 100% handmade from scratch. I start with copper sheet and wire, crystals, and a sculpting medium, and turn it into the objects you see in my shop. A lot of work goes into each piece, and I take the time to make sure they will be durable enough to last a lifetime (or longer)."
