Collection: BrnBurn

My work is an extension of myself and my desire to fill the world with cute and playful things.

I grew up surrounding myself with cute things that brought me joy, but there was always the pressure to leave behind cute things and “grow up.” I will always remember a time when a guest saw my pantry of bubbly animal covered dishes and asked “Why is everything cute?” I replied “Don’t you want to be surrounded by cute and fun things? I don’t want to eat off of ugly dishes!”

A bowl can celebrate play and curiosity with a message that becomes visible when it’s empty or a fun illustration that wraps around the piece. I want my work to encourage us to interact with our daily routines and brighten our time at the table.

In my work, my goal is to always create pieces that meet at the intersection of function, play, and a sense of whimsy.
